Uppsala University Section – UUDS

A fighting union. By university colleagues, for university colleagues.

At Uppsala university, the work we do every day—and the people who make that work possible—deserve respect, dignity, and a real voice.

Uppsala University Section exists because none of us should have to navigate workplace challenges alone. When we stand together, we protect each other. When we organize, we make the university stronger, fairer, and more humane for everyone who studies, teaches, researches, or supports the work that happens here.

A better university is possible—help us build it.

Solidarity starts with you. Become a member.

Joining the union is about more than membership—it’s about cultivating class consciousness and recognizing the shared power we hold as workers.

Syndicalism teaches us that workplaces thrive when workers collectively shape them. Here, your voice matters, your experiences matter, and your participation directly strengthens our ability to win better conditions, challenge unfair practices, and ensure that everyone is treated with respect.

Solidarity isn’t just a slogan for us; it’s a daily practice. Whether it’s defending colleagues in difficult conversations, pushing for safer and more equitable working environments, or building bridges across departments and roles, we’re committed to lifting each other up. Every new member strengthens our collective ability to protect rights, expand benefits, and build a workplace culture based on mutual support—not hierarchy.

If you believe in fairness, equality, and the simple truth that workers deserve power in the places where they spend their time and energy we’d love to have you with us.

Together, we can create a university community where cooperation replaces competition, where collective care outweighs corporate priorities, and where every one of us has the freedom and security to do our best work.
